Carolina Charvet Pena

I am a Harcourt Scholar at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). I am a senior with a double major in International Studies and Sociology. Throughout my time at TCNJ, I have been part of Alpha Phi Omega and Circle K that are community service organizations where I have had leadership positions. I attended LeaderShape and the Lions Leadership Institute, which are leadership development programs that allowed me to grow as a leader in my community. In addition, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Italy for a semester where I improved my level of Italian, and explored new places. All of my accomplishments and experiences have been possible thanks to the support of the Harcourt Foundation. Thanks to the Harcourt Foundation I will reach my goal to receive my Bachelor’s degree this upcoming May, and I will start my career and plan to pursue graduate education knowing that I will not have significant debt.
